Mico Eleverde J5 Camera Doorbell

I bought the above wifi doorbell and camera in May 2021 to replace an ancient wireless camera bell which had very poor camera resolution.

I have been reasonably happy with the purchase to date (Nov 23), although there is a delay between bell or alarm being activated and it registering on my mobile phone (the alternative direct USB powered parallel bell is activated immediately on bell push).

There is also the ability to view the camera feed via the rtsp protocol by activating the ONVIF function.  I have used the freely available VLC application to access this facility.  Once you activate the ONVIF facility through the doorbell settings via the Cloudedge app, including providing an access password, the camera can be accessed via the following url:

rtsp://admin:password@ipaddress:8554/streaming/Channels/102 (password and ip address installation specific).

There is a channel 101 also with hi def, but it is problematic in my setup.

The doorbell is based on a generic hardware and software base produced by PPStrong using the PPSAPP software.
